GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: |

ON-BOARD AGR QUALIFICATIONS: |

1. Must meet physical
standards of AR 600-9 and AR 135-18, Table 2-1.
2. Must not be under current
suspension of favorable personnel actions.
3. Applicants must not be
entitled to
receive Federal military
retired or retainer pay.
4. Must be able to serve at
least five good years in active status prior to mandatory
removal.
5. Personnel applying for an
(initial tour) with thirteen (13) or more years of active
military duty credited toward retirement must have a
waiver from the Guard (HQDA/DCSPER) prior to placement on tour.
6. Must be able to complete
ten years in AGR status for retirement under Title 10, USC 3911
or 3914. Waiver of this require-ment may be considered on a case
by case basis.
7. Applicants who have
voluntarily separated from the AGR Program are not eligible to
re-enter for one year from date of separation.
8. Applicants who have
voluntarily separated from the AGR Program in lieu of adverse
personnel actions, or who have been involuntarily separated from
the AGR Program are not eligible to re-enter the program.
9. Active Duty (Title 10/32)
Compassionate reassignments from other states will be considered
on a case-by-case basis, for any Ohio statewide only
announcements.

1. Must meet entry
requirements of AR 135-18 and NGR 600-5.
2. Must be medically
qualified under AR 40-501, Chap 2 and 4 or 5 as applicable,
within 24 months prior to initial entry. Selectee must be
medically certified as drug free, be tested for HIV within 6
months of initial entry.
3. Soldiers transferring
between states or entering FTNGD from Active Army Status without
a break in service must have a current physical examination and
execute DA Form 3081-R (Periodic Medical Exam) to be submitted
with the soldier’s AGR application.

1. Must continue to meet
requirements of AR 135-18 and NGR 600-5.
2. ARNG/ARNGUS soldiers must
possess MOS/AOC of the AGR duty position or be able to qualify
in that MOS/AOC within 12 months. Failure to qualify in AGR
duty position MOS/AOC within 12 months of assignment will result
in mandatory separation from the AGR Program per Chapter 6, NGR
600-5.
3. Must be within grade
requirements of MTOE/TDA position and NGB staffing guide.
4. Appropriate military
uniform will be worn during duty hours.

6. Tour continuation is
subject to review
by the AGR Tour Continuation
Board and the approval of the Adjutant General.
7. Applicants must have 3
years
remaining on current
enlistment or reenlist prior to first day of tour to meet this
requirement.
8. Except for the needs of
the organization or special exceptions, all initial tour
personnel will remain in initial assignment for a minimum of 18
months.
9. All AGRs soldiers are
required to sign a statement of understanding regarding the
ability of the AG to reassign them to any location within the
state to serve the best needs of the OHARNG. |

General Information
1.
Applicant screening will be made
without regard to race, religion, color, gender or national origin.
2.
Applicants are subject to a
personal interview upon notification of time and place. Necessary
travel will be at the expense of the individual. Inquiries concerning
specific aspects of the duty position should be directed to the
Selection Point of Contact listed.
3.
Eligibility of National Guard
women will be consistent with applicable assignment policies of NGR
600-100 for officers, NGR 600-101 for Warrant Officer, and NGR 600-200
for enlisted members.
AIR NATIONAL GUARD
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
1. A recent Record Review RIP which can be obtained
from the Military Personnel Office, at your unit. Due to
manning restrictions, positions will not be filled if
funding/resource are not available.
2. For initial accession into the AGR
program individual must possess an AFSC compatible with the
EUMD upon selection for AGR duty. Current AGR’s without a
compatible AFSC must sign an agreement to retrain, and may be
reassigned without an awarded 3 level in a compatible duty AFSC,
(Reference any restrictions in ANGI 36-101, para 3.6). If there
are no permanent on board AGR applicants or applicants
with compatible AFSC, Initial entry applicants
who do not possess a compatible AFSC will have their
applications forwarded and if selected must sign an agreement to
retrain.
3. Individual selected for an AGR Tour must have
sufficient retainability to complete 20 years of active duty prior
to his/her mandatory separation date, (MSD) officer, age 60 for
enlisted. Must be able to serve at least 5 consecutive
years in the AGR program prior to eligibility for military
non-disability retirement or retainer pay. Military technicians who
are eligible for or are receiving a civil service annuity may not
change to military duty status. Applicants receiving or eligible to
immediately receive a federal retirement annuity and a state annuity
for service as National Guard technicians are not eligible for entry
on an AGR tour.
4. Any member on the ANG Weight Management Program is
ineligible for entry into military duty status. Any member selected
for any type of AGR tour must currently be within weight/Body
Fat Measurement standards per ANGI 36-101, para 7.2.5. On board
AGR’s in Phase I of WMP are ineligible to apply for another
position.

1. Must meet entry

within 24 months prior to initial entry. Selectee must be
medically certified as drug free, be tested for HIV within 6
months of initial entry and not be pregnant. Female soldiers
will be required to undergo a pregnancy test 30 days prior to
initial entry.
3. Soldiers transferring
between states or entering FTNGD from Active Army Status without
a break in service must have a current physical examination and
execute DA Form 3081-R (Periodic Medical Exam) to be submitted
with the soldier’s AGR application.
4. Officer/Warrant Officers
must possess MOS/AOC compatible with AGR position and be
within the grade requirements of MTOE/TDA positions and NGB
staffing guide for initial entry.
5. Enlisted soldiers in
grades E6 and above must possess the required grade, MOS and
skill level required by AGR duty positions (except for detailed
recruiting positions) per AR 135-18, Table 2-1(G) 2a and Table
2-3e. SSG not MOSQ’d may apply
(unless job stipulates otherwise), but must take reduction
to SGT and submit letter with application stating they
are willing to take reduction to grade SGT.
6. Failure to qualify in AGR
duty position MOS/AOC within 12 months of assignment will result
in mandatory separation from the AGR Program per Chapter 6, NGR
600-5. |
