THIS POSITION IS BEING ANNOUNCED IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE MERIT PROMOTION PROCEDURES AND COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT.  WEARING OF THE APPROPRIATE ARMY/AIR UNIFORM IS REQUIRED WHILE EMPLOYED IN THIS POSITION. PERMANENT CHANGE OF DUTY STATION (PCS) FUNDS ARE NOT AVAILABLE.  DUE TO MANNING RESTRICTIONS, THIS POSITION WILL BE FILLED WHEN MANNING AND FUNDING BECOME AVAILABLE.

 

DUTIES:  This position is located in the Fuels Management Flight,  Base Supply, Logistics Group at an ANG Wing flying activity.  The primary purpose of this position is to operate and maintain a fuel distribution system composed of fuels laboratory, bulk storage, or hydrant refueling and mobile refueling operation that provides aviation and ground fuels refueling/defueling of aircraft, engine test cells powered Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), generators and heating systems.  Bulk Storage facilities are used to store one or more grades of aviation or ground fuels that are required to support the Wing mission.  

 

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidate’s ability to follow instructions and to safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position.

 

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE(WG-08) - 12 months experience which the applicant demonstrates the following:

1.)      Experience which demonstrates ability knowledge of fuel depot/farm systems

2.)      Experience which demonstrates knowledge of and skill in the receiving, storing, transferring, issuing and testing of fuels.

3.)      Experience which demonstrates the knowledge of safety regulations and use of safety equipment.

4.)      Experience which demonstrates the ability to perform operator maintenance of equipment.

5.)      Experience which demonstrates the use of accounting and inventory techniques.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs): (WG-08)

1.)      Knowledge of fuel depots or fuel farms.

2.)      Knowledge of and skill in receiving, storing, transferring, issuing, and testing of fuels.

3.)      Knowledge of safety regulations and use of safety equipment.

4.)      Ability to perform operator maintenance including inspection/minor repair of equipment.

5.)     Knowledge of accountable documentation required to ensure audit trial of receipts and issued products.

 

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION:  NOTE: College Transcripts are required if you wish to use Education as a substitution for experience or if a degree is a requirement for the position.  A copy of the transcript must be submitted with the Job Application. Study successfully completed in a college, university, technical or vocational school may be substituted for experience at

the rate of one year of study (30 semester hours or 20 classroom hours of instruction per week) for 6 months of experience.  Courses must be directly related to the work of the position.
