THIS POSITION IS BEING ANNOUNCED IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE MERIT PROMOTION PROCEDURES AND COLLECTIVE BARGINING AGREEMENT.  WEARING OF THE APPROPRIATE ARMY/AIR UNIFORM IS REQUIRED WHILE EMPLOYED IN THIS POSITION.  PERMANENT CHANGE OF DUTY STATION (PCS) FUNDS ARE  NOT AVAILABLE.  DUE TO MANNING RESTRICTIONS, THIS POSITION WILL BE  FILLED WHEN MANNING AND FUNDING BECOME AVAILABLE.

 

DUTIES:  This position is located in the Mission Support Section of an Air National Guard Civil Engineering Squadron or Flight (RED HORSE). The purpose of this position is to administer the RED HORSE Civil Engineering training and career development programs for air technicians, AGRs and drill status guard members (DSG) personnel.

 

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:  Progressively responsible clerical experience  or other work which demonstrated the ability to acquire and to apply a practical knowledge and understanding of the program objectives, policies, procedures, and requirements relating to the work of the position.

 

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: (GS-09) – 24 months of experience which the applicant has demonstrated the following:

  1. Experience which demonstrated an applicant’s ability to follow agency directives to develop yearly and/or longer education/training plans and to oversee and evaluate the effectiveness of these plans.
  2. Experience which demonstrated an applicant’s ability to determine requirements and to secure and coordinate the use of training sites, facilities and materials.
  3. Experience which demonstrated an applicant’s ability to receive, consolidate and analyze data from subordinate levels and to follow agency directives in using this data to prepare plans and reports.
  4. Experience which demonstrated an applicant’s ability to determine requirements; requisition, receive, store and account for test materials, and to insure proper test administration.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs):

1.        Ability to develop, administer and evaluate education/training programs.

2.        Ability to secure facilities and coordinate training.

3.        Ability to gather data and compile plans and reports.

4.       Ability to coordinate and control testing programs. 

                                                                   

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION:  NOTE: College Transcripts are required if you wish to use Education as a substitution for experience or if a degree is a requirement for the position.  A copy of the transcript must be submitted with the Job Application. Study successfully completed in a college, university, technical or vocational school may be substituted for experience at the rate of one year of study (30 semester hours or 20 classroom hours of instruction per week) for 6 months of experience.  Courses must be directly related to the work of the position.
